Terms of Service
Last updated September 9, 2026
These are the ground rules between you and us. They apply when you create a PUP account, use the PUP app, earn or spend coins, or order rewards. We have tried to write them the way we would explain them: in plain language, without the legal fog.
Where we say "we", "us" or "PUP" we mean the company below. "You" means you, as a player.
Who we are
Martinr B.V.
Meester Cornelisstraat 4, 2023 DG Haarlem, the Netherlands
Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 94615675
Email: info@gopup.app
PUP is a product of Martinr B.V. If PUP is later transferred to its own legal entity, we will update this page and tell you before the change takes effect.
What these terms cover
These terms apply to players: anyone using PUP as a player, through the app or through gopup.app.
Clubs and sellers working with PUP have their own agreement with us. Where that agreement says something different, it governs for them. For you as a player, this page always applies.
How we handle your personal data is not covered here but in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Your account
You need an account to use PUP. For that account:
The details you give us are accurate, and you keep them up to date.
One account per person. Multiple accounts for the same player are not allowed, because that would make coins earnable without earning them.
You keep your login details to yourself. If you think someone else can get into your account, email info@gopup.app straight away.
What happens under your account is attributed to you, unless it is clear that you could not have prevented it.
Under 18? Padel is a family sport and you are very welcome. Ask a parent or guardian for permission before creating an account — under Dutch law, minors usually need that permission to enter into an agreement. Your parent or guardian can always email us to review your account or have it deleted.
What PUP is, and what it is not
PUP is a loyalty and engagement platform for padel clubs and their players. You complete challenges, earn coins, and spend them on rewards at clubs and sellers in the network.
What PUP is not, and this matters:
PUP is not a bank and not a payment service. Your wallet is not a bank account.
Coins are not legal tender and not electronic money. You can only use them to pay for rewards inside the PUP network.
Your balance earns no interest, and does not grow on its own.
Clubs decide for themselves which challenges they offer, how many coins they hand out, and what goes in their reward catalogue. We keep the platform running; what there is to do and to claim is up to your club.
Coins
What a coin is worth
10 coins = €1. That rate is fixed and does not change.
For every coin that exists, we hold the full euro amount in reserve. A club pays for its coins up front; they do not exist until the money does. So your balance is always fully backed, even if your club were to stop tomorrow.
How you earn coins
By completing challenges, through campaigns and gifts from your club, and — at clubs that choose to take part — through what you spend at the bar or in the shop. The app shows you, per club, whether that club takes part.
What you can do with them
Coins earned at one club can be spent at any club or seller in the network. One wallet, valid everywhere. That is deliberate.
What you cannot do with them
You cannot cash coins out into euros, not to you and not to anyone else.
You cannot transfer coins to another player, or merge them with another wallet.
You may not sell, trade or auction coins outside PUP.
When coins expire
If you do not use your wallet for 24 months — no coins earned, none spent — the coins in it expire. We will warn you well in advance by email or push notification so you can still spend them. A single transaction resets the clock.
If your club leaves PUP
Your coins stay spendable until they expire normally. Only new coins from that club stop. You are never penalised for a decision your club makes.
If PUP stops
If we decide to stop PUP entirely, we will tell you well in advance and keep rewards available for a reasonable wind-down period so you can spend your coins. Any coins left when the service ends lapse; they cannot be paid out or transferred. This does not affect any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
Mistakes and abuse
If coins ended up in your wallet through a fault, an error by us or your club, or through abuse, we may correct that. We will always explain what we are doing and why.
In case of abuse — colluding with other players, multiple accounts, tampering with QR codes, or faking challenge evidence — we may reverse coins, suspend your account, or both.
If you delete your account
Your balance lapses. We cannot pay it out and cannot transfer it. So spend your coins before you delete your account. How deletion works is explained on Deleting your account.
Ordering rewards
PUP is a marketplace. When you order a reward, you buy it from the club or seller offering it, not from us. You always see who the seller is before you order.
That means:
The seller is responsible for the product or service, for the warranty, and for its legal conformity.
If something is wrong, you go to the seller. If you cannot resolve it, email us — we are happy to mediate, even though we are not a party to the sale.
If you get a refund, it comes back as coins: we return the amount to your wallet.
Your statutory consumer rights, including the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days, apply in full against the seller. For some rewards that right does not apply — a booked court or lesson that has already taken place, for example, or something made specifically for you. That is stated on the reward before you order.
Prices are shown in coins. If a price is obviously wrong, we may cancel the order and return your coins.
Challenges and fair play
Challenges run on trust and on verification. We may verify a challenge attempt, and invalidate one that does not hold up. Your club may have a role in that too.
Not allowed: colluding with other players to generate coins, completing challenges on someone else's behalf, using multiple accounts, or using automated tools.
What else you may not do
Abuse, overload, or attempt to break into the app or our systems
Automatically harvest data from the service (scraping)
Copy, reverse engineer, or circumvent the software
Harass, threaten, or impersonate other players
Post content that is unlawful, abusive, or discriminatory
Use PUP for something it is plainly not meant for
Your content
Your profile picture, your username, and whatever else you put in the app remain yours. You give us only the right to use them as far as needed to run PUP: showing them to other players and to your club, within the visibility you set yourself.
We may remove content that breaches these terms. For something serious we act immediately; otherwise we let you know.
Availability of the service
We do our best to keep PUP running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. There is maintenance, and sometimes things break.
We may change or discontinue features. If that materially affects you — because it changes what your coins are worth to you, for instance — we will tell you in advance and you can still spend them. Your coins stay spendable as long as they have not expired.
Liability
PUP is free for you as a player. That does not absolve us of everything, but it does mean we limit our liability to what is reasonable:
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as missed savings or missed coins.
We are not liable for what a club or seller does or fails to do; they are responsible for their own rewards, challenges, and offers.
Where we are liable, it is limited to the euro value of the coins in your wallet at that time.
These limits do not apply in case of intent or wilful recklessness on our part, or for damage from death or personal injury. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
Ending the agreement
You: you can stop at any time. Delete your account through Settings → Delete account in the app, or follow the steps on Deleting your account. Remember your coins: they lapse.
Us: we may suspend or end your account if you breach these terms. We will tell you and explain why, unless the law prevents us. For something minor you get a chance to put it right first. If we end your account without any fault of yours, you get at least 30 days to spend your coins.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when PUP changes or the law requires it. For material changes we will tell you at least 30 days in advance, in the app or by email.
If you keep using PUP after that, the new terms apply. If you disagree, you can delete your account — spend your coins first.
The date at the bottom of this page always belongs to the version you are reading now.
Complaints, law, and courts
If you have a complaint, email info@gopup.app first. We respond within 14 days, and usually much sooner.
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the Noord-Holland district court, unless as a consumer you are entitled by law to a different court — in which case that one applies.
